Macomb and Oakland Counties

Region 6 Director: Mark Muzzin

Mark Muzzin is a k-12 STEM Consultant for the Macomb Intermediate School District and is a member of the MiSTEM Network. He currently serves the MSTA as Regional Director for Oakland and Macomb Counties (Region 6).  Mark loves to develop new initiatives, collaborate and leverage his experience to empower others.

Mark loves traveling around Michigan and all it has to offer. Growing up his annual family retreat was along the shores of Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks National Shore. His new favorite spot is the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. Locally, he unplugs at Stoney Creek Metropark which is a short drive from his home in Bruce Township.

Prior to his role as a STEM Consultant at the MISD, he co-managed STARBASE One, a DoD STEM youth outreach program and was fortunate enough to have a few years teaching middle school science in paradise on the island of Maui. He has an amazing partner and wife of almost 20 years with three vibrant children that keep him busy and entertained.
