MSTA will be hosting a guided walk  of USM's (GORHAM) Wired Woods and their Energy House. Professor Joe Staples will share with us their forest based weather station that is constantly connected and gathering data and solar powered energy house that is also constantly gathering data.

Participants will be shown how to access this data and we can have collegial discussions on how we might use this information in our curriculum.

This would be of great interest to 7-12 teachers working with environmental standards and/or data, especially in districts using NGSS standards.

9-9:30am meet and greet, Prof. Bob Kuech will have coffee while we gather, the walk will start promptly at 9:30am.

Parking will be in the water tower parking lot on the Gorham Campus, behind Bailey Hall.

There will be a regular MSTA board meeting beginning after the walk, approximately 11am. All are welcome to attend or you may of course leave after the walk.

Cost is $5 for members $10 for non-members
